Burton Weast is currently a Founding Board Member of Mesquite Works in Mesquite, Nevada and was President of Axxiom Resources in Mesquite.

Prior to moving to Nevada, Burton held a number of government and association leadership roles, including the  Curry County Planning Director, a Senior Staff Associate at the League of Oregon Cities, the Vice President Governmental Affairs Home Builders Association of Metro Portland, the Chief of Staff for Congressman Ron Wyden, President of Western Advocates, and Executive Director Clackamas County Business Alliance.
